Using Guides, Rules, Lore, and other Documents

The Documents feature is where community members can create and share longer-form posts. Unlike quick updates or chat, docs are meant for things that stick around — reference material, official rules, or community lore.  Many of the document types are available on our personal account as well as Groups you have permissions to.

On this site, we’ve set up three main types of docs:

🛠 1. Guides

• What they’re for: Step-by-step instructions, how-tos, and community knowledge.

• Examples:

  • “How to get started with crafting”

  • “Beginner’s guide to trading safely”

  • “Tips for building your first house”

• Best practices:

  • Keep it clear and simple.

  • Use screenshots or bullet points.

  • Update guides if the game changes!

📜 2. Rules

• What they’re for: Posting official or group-specific rules everyone needs to know.

• Examples:

  • Group or clan rules

  • Trading group do’s and don’ts

  • Event participation guidelines

• Best practices:

  • Keep rules short and easy to understand.

  • Number or bullet them for clarity.

  • Make sure they align with site-wide rules.

🧙 3. Lore

• What they’re for: Stories, world-building, character backstories, and creative writing.

• Examples:

  • A short story about your clan’s founding.

  • A history of a famous in-game battle.

  • Myths and legends from the game world.

• Best practices:

  • Be creative and descriptive.

  • Add images or maps if you like.

  • Make it fun and inspiring for others to read!

✍️ How to Create a Doc

1. Go to <Doc type> → Create  (On your profile on in the group menu).

2. Add a title and write your doc in the editor.

3. (Optional) Add images, lists, or links for clarity.

4. Publish — your doc will now show up in the Documents section for everyone to read.

✅ Tips for Great Docs

• Pick the right type (Guide, Rule, or Lore).

• Use headings to make it easy to skim.

• Keep formatting clean — nobody likes a wall of text.

• Encourage comments and discussion, but keep it respectful.
